With the opening of the new Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown less than three months away, project developer Hospitality Operations, Inc. has appointed two new members to the hotel’s senior staff: General Manager Eduardo Chapoval and Director of Sales Lourdes Beach. The hospitality industry veterans bring more than 40 years of combined experience to the new 221-room hotel, which is set to open in Miami’s Brickell Financial District in September 2011.The new Hampton Inn & Suites will fill a niche in downtown Miami’s luxury-saturated hotel market as the newest mid-range lodging option for travelers seeking dependable accommodations that offer all the conveniences of an urban location without a steep price tag.

As General Manager, Eduardo Chapoval will direct all areas of hotel operations, including guest services, sales and marketing, and hotel administration. Previously, Mr. Chapoval served as General Manager of the 149-unit Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon, which under his operation was ranked “#1 Miami Hotel” by TripAdvisor.com for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008. In addition to his 12-year association with Hospitality Operations, Inc., he has held affiliations with Veplan Hotels (Sofitel Rio Palace Hotel, Brazil), Rede Glogo Hotels (Pestana Rio Atlantica Hotel, Brazil) and Hilton Hotels. Mr. Chapoval, a native of Olinda, Brazil, received his degree in Hotel Management from Estacio University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has achieved accreditation from American Hotel & Motel Associations’ Educational Institute for Certification as CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator).

As Director of Sales, Lourdes Beach will be responsible for revenue production and managing all areas of the hotel’s marketing and sales plans. Ms. Beach has held the position of Director of Sales at the Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Airport South/Blue Lagoon for the last 10 years, where her performance was a determining factor in the hotel’s revenue-based success. Previously, she held affiliations with Interstate Hotels & Resorts - Sheraton Biscayne Bay, Richfield Hospitality Management Company - Park Plaza Hotel (Sheraton Las Americas), Ramada International Hotels & Resorts, and Inn Serve Corporation - Holiday Inn Hotel.“The addition of Eduardo and Lourdes to our new Hampton Inn and Suites hotel in the Brickell Financial District is consistent with our firm’s commitment to retaining and developing experienced, senior-level professionals who are passionate about our properties and the customer service experience,” said Howard Wolfson, Regional Manager for Hospitality America, the national hotel management firm that will oversee operations at the property. “Eduardo and Lourdes will be tremendous assets to this new hotel following their success leading the team at our Miami Airport property.”

Construction of the 15-story Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell-Downtown, located at 50 SW 12th Street in Miami’s Brickell Financial District, began in mid-2010 and topped-off in early 2011. The hotel will employ roughly 75 employees. Property features will include a rooftop pool, full-service bar, exercise room, business center, 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a 210-space parking garage, 3,500 square feet of meeting space, and easy access to the Metrorail and Metromover public transportation systems.
