Attraction Hotels In Fort Lauderdale |
Andaz, the upscale hotel chain managed by Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, recently announced that it will open its first Latin American property, Andaz Papagayo on Península Papagayo in Costa Rica’s northwest Pacific Coast on Dec. 15. The 153-room hotel is set on a 2,223-acre development on a jagged pair of peninsulas along the Bay of Culebra and will have an open-air lobby, a marina with a full menu of boating services and an 11,000-square-foot spa with nine treatment rooms.
Dining options will include a tapas-style restaurant, a fine-dining seafood boîte and an all-day casual restaurant that is built around a tree and has several irregular mezzanine levels to mimic the shape of the oyster mushrooms that grow nearby. “The idea is to give our guests a sense of place as much as possible,” the property’s director of sales and marketing, Vincent De Croock, said. The guest rooms will all have balconies with bay views and be decorated with local woven textiles and carved artifacts. Room rates start at $400.
