Affordable Hotels In Fort Lauderdale

In a study published by CheapRooms.co.uk, the hotel booking website, the average rates in the Scottish city were €157 (£133) per night. Only the Spanish island of Formentera was deemed more expensive, with average prices of €175/ £148. Edinburgh was one of two British destinations to feature, with Bath coming 20th in the rankings. Surprisingly perhaps, London did not make the top 50. Previous studies have suggested that the capital has the most expensive hotel rates in Britain.Three German locations, Sylt, Heringsdorf and Binz, appeared in the top 10, and five Italian destinations, Bibione, Elba Island, Capri, Bardolino and Amalfi, featured in the top 20. All European destinations with at least 50 hotels were considered for the survey. According to the methodology, prices were calculated on the "average cheapest available double room for each day in August". Hotels with a three-star rating or above were included, and all had to rank at least average on TripAdvisor. Only hotels a mile or less from the town centre or beach were used for the data. The prices were for stays from August 1 to 31, at the height of the Edinburgh’s festival season, which would have bumped the city considerably up the rankings. Prices were checked by Kayak, the hotel comparison website, between July 25 and 30 this year.
